SUMMARY:
As a Product Engineer (PE) in the Programmable Power Management Group (PPM) you will be part of a focused team that develops, qualifies, and releases new PPM semiconductor products while also maintaining an active portfolio of released PPM products. PPM PEs drive innovation and continuous improvement in a fast-paced, dynamic environment using rigorous statistical methods. The position focuses on new product introductions, improving yields and maintaining quality for all assigned products to ensure customer expectations are exceeded. The Product Engineer interfaces with Design, Applications, Test, Packaging, Reliability, Operations and Quality Engineering teams. This position is located in Hanoi, Vietnam.

RESPONSIBILITIES:
• Ownership of Product Engineering deliverables for New Product Introduction (NPI) efforts and drive to completion to meet project schedules for current and advanced PPM technology products.
• Support NPI Test Engineering activities to debug, validate and release production test hardware/software.
• Compile and analyze data using common statistical techniques (time-series analysis, CPK, SPC, ANOVA) and effectively present key results along with recommended actions.
• Analyze products to ensure manufacturability and data sheet compliance, including setting the optimal test screening limits, guard-bands, and outlier controls in production test plans.
• Provide thorough and detailed test data analysis on each key NPI design revision during product development and identify key parameters for improvement.
• Develop test plans for NPI prototype and production electrical testing of wafers and packaged devices with the goal to minimize test costs by implementing test time reduction and test efficiency methods.
• Disposition test yield excursions using data derived from data analysis tools and Product Engineering skills.
• Practice continuous improvement and yield optimization by tracking test parameters, identifying outliers, uncovering correlations, and troubleshooting process and equipment issues.
• Support Design Engineering and Product Quality teams on product qualifications, failure analysis, customer returns and alternate vendor sourcing approvals.
• Effectively interface and communicate with Design, Marketing, Test Development, Package Engineering, Customer Quality Engineering, Supplier Quality Engineering, Product Quality Engineering and Operations (US and Asia locations), as needed for Product Engineering support of those areas.
• Employ appropriate Statistical Process Control (SPC) principles to reduce variability in product performance.

QUALIFICATIONS:
• Bachelor's degree required, major in Electrical Engineering preferred. Will also consider comparable technical discipline with some applicable experience.
• 0-5 years of engineering experience, preferably in a semiconductor environment.
• Fluent in English language required, read/write/speak.
• Familiarity with statistical analysis methods and using statistical software preferred. (Spotfire, JMP, Excel, etc.)
• Basic understanding of semiconductor physics desired.
• Time management skills for balancing multiple high-priority activities required.
• Must have strong attention to detail, be self-motivated and able to achieve results with minimal supervision.
• Ability to interface effectively and to build consensus with coworkers at every level of the company.
